Healthy Recipe Mappillai Samba Aval Salty
Required:
Mappillai Samba Aval – 1/4 cup,
Onion – 1 chopped,
Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon,
Chopped green chillies – 1 tbsp,
Peanut – 2 tbsp,
Mustard – 1 teaspoon,
Urutam dal – 1 teaspoon,
Salt – required quantity,
Curry leaves – a little,
Lemon juice – 1/2 tsp.
Method: Take the papillai samba aval and wash it under running tap water. Soak in water for 10 minutes and drain the water completely. Make sure there is no water. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds, urad dal, peanuts and curry leaves and saute.
Then add chopped onions and green chillies. Stir well and add turmeric powder. Now add aval and salt, sprinkle 1/4 cup water and cover and cook for 2 minutes. Finally add lemon juice and serve hot with coconut chutney.
